 Ministry to Men

It's a fact that most men do not have a close friend- someone in whom they can confide; someone who will be there when they need help or just someone to listen. We don't want Shepherd Gate men to be among those without a close friend. We want to build men who know their identity in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, men whose lives are balanced, and who are developing into leaders in their homes, their workplaces, their church, and their community. Think about it. Don't you want to maximize your potential as a man? If your answer is yes, then take the first step to ask about joining a men's group at Shepherd Gate Church. We want to encourage you and to build you up,so that you can fulfill your destiny in Christ.

In addition to men's groups, Shepherd Gate offers a variety of other men's activities:

Saturday morning outreach breakfasts. Men can invite their friends to hear a dynamic, relevant guest speaker and have a great breakfast.

Father-son and father-daughter events

Men's Retreat. Personal renewal at a great camp

Outreaches to the community

Winning at Work and Home, a 16-session study, focuses on the two areas that are central to a man's life: career and family. It will begin to build the walls of manhood through study dealing with a man's chief responsibilities. It explores how a man can enjoy and engage his work and how he can relate to a woman in a whole new way. Wednesdays, beginning September 26. Call the church office to register A.S.A.P. so that materials may be ordered.

The Quest for Authentic Manhood  is the foundational level or ground floor of manhood. This 24-session study focuses on a man's core identity and gives an overview of basic manhood issues. It will help men deal with various identity issues by looking back at past wounds and other things that may have distorted their idea of biblical masculinity. Throughout the course of the study, men will learn how to clearly define manhood and will finally be able to give a succinct and passionate answer to the questions, "What is a man?" and "What am I living to be?" Saturdays, beginning September 29. Call the church office to register A.S.A.P. so that materials may be ordered.
