Shepherd Gate Church - Chantilly - SG Building Expansion

Blessing Neighbors is a 3-year building program for Shepherd Gate Church that will expand its ability to meet the needs of a growing congregation and a growing community. Shepherd Gate Church moved into its new facility in March, 2002 aware that more construction would soon be needed to accommodate service to the community. At the end of 2004, Shepherd Gate began architectural and engineering design of additional facilities. These facilities include:

Community Life Center
A 10,000 square foot multi-purpose room that will provide the church with a facility for church members and the local community. Some of the many uses for the Community Life Center are:

*An indoor athletic facility with full-sized basketball courts that will flex to accommodate volleyball, indoor soccer, lacrosse, aerobics and more

*A reception/conference facility for 400 guests seated at tables for receptions, conferences and other gatherings

*An observation mezzanine

*A place for baptisms

*A center for children's ministry and youth activities

Classroom and Office Space
The existing unfinished space known as the "Blue Room" will be built out into its intended use for classrooms and offices. The first floor will have offices and meeting rooms. The second floor will include classrooms, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and a larger meeting room for children and youth activities.

Additional Parking
One hundred parking spaces will be added.

While we look forward with great anticipation to building these structures, it is the expansion of ministry that is of real importance. God has planted Shepherd Gate in a community rich with opportunity for touching lives for Christ. The vision we have been given from the Lord is to use this facility as a tool for drawing people into a relationship with Him. We will begin construction as soon as we have our plans for the Community Life Center approved by the county. We anticipate the construction of all components to take approximately 3 years from start date. The estimated cost for the entire program is expected to be a minimum of $1,500,000.
